Yes, the galvanised steel construction is designed to withstand weathering and outdoor conditions.
Ensure all screws and bolts are tightened securely according to the assembly instructions. Check that the perch is correctly attached to the coop frame.
Allow your chickens time to adjust. Sometimes, a small amount of feed or treats placed on the perch can encourage exploration. Ensure the perch is at a height they feel comfortable with.
Galvanised steel is resistant to rust but not entirely immune, especially in highly humid or corrosive environments. Minor spots can be cleaned with a soft brush. For significant rust, consider a rust-inhibiting paint suitable for metal, ensuring it's non-toxic for poultry once dry.
Setup: This chicken perch requires assembly. Ensure all parts are present before beginning. Typically, assembly involves attaching the wooden poles to the steel frame. Refer to the included instructions for detailed steps.
Compatibility: This perch is a great companion for any chicken coop featuring 25mm-tube metal frames. Ensure your coop's dimensions and frame type are compatible before purchasing.
Care: To maintain the perch, regularly inspect for wear and tear. Clean the wooden poles with a damp cloth as needed, avoiding harsh chemicals. The galvanised steel requires minimal maintenance but can be wiped down with a dry cloth. Ensure the perch is securely attached to the coop to prevent instability.
