Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure maximum performance and safety with your Eveready batteries, follow these guidelines:
- Polarity Alignment: Always insert the batteries matching the (+) and (-) signs indicated inside the device battery compartment.
- Mixing Batteries: Do not mix new batteries with old ones, or mix different battery types (e.g., zinc carbon with alkaline) in the same device, as this can cause leakage or damage.
- Storage: Store unused batteries in a cool, dry place. Extreme heat can accelerate self-discharge and shorten the lifespan.
- Removal: If you know a device will be stored for a long duration (several months or more), remove the batteries to prevent potential corrosion from chemical leaks.
- Disposal: Dispose of used batteries according to your local environmental regulations; check if your municipality offers a battery recycling drop-off program.
