Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The watch utilizes an automatic movement, meaning it self-winds through the motion of the wearer's wrist. If the watch has stopped, you can manually wind it by turning the crown clockwise about 30-40 times while it is in its closed position. Set the time and date by pulling the crown to the appropriate positions. Ensure the crown is pushed back in securely to maintain water resistance.
Compatibility: This is a purely mechanical wristwatch and does not rely on electronic compatibility with other devices. It is designed to be worn by anyone regardless of their technological ecosystem.
Care: To maintain the longevity and performance of your Certina DS Action watch:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Water Resistance: Always ensure the crown is screwed down or pushed in fully before exposing the watch to water. Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures or steam, as this can compromise seals.
- Servicing: It is recommended to have the watch professionally serviced every 3-5 years to ensure the optimal performance of the movement and seals.
