Does the crate come with wheels?

No, wheels are available separately and are not included with the standard TRIXIE Gulliver Transport Box Size 6.

How do I clean the transport box?

The crate is suitable for dogs weighing up to 38 kg.

Can the door be removed?

Troubleshooting

Pet is anxious or resistant to entering the crate.

Introduce the crate gradually. Leave the door open, place treats or toys inside, and never force your pet in. Start with short durations and gradually increase the time spent inside.

Lockable snap fasteners are difficult to close.

Ensure the two halves of the crate are perfectly aligned. Check for any debris obstructing the mechanism. If the issue persists, contact the manufacturer.

Crate feels unstable during transport.

Verify that all snap fasteners are fully engaged and locked. For vehicle transport, ensure the crate is properly secured using seatbelts or cargo restraints. If using wheels, ensure they are securely attached.

Airline rejected the crate despite IATA compliance claims.

Contact the airline directly to understand their specific requirements. Some airlines have stricter rules on door security (requiring bolts or extra ties) or specific dimension tolerances. Add extra zip ties or bolts if recommended by the airline.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Comfortable carrying handle.
Good ventilation for pet well-being.

Cons

Best suited for dogs that are already accustomed to crates.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Assemble the crate by connecting the top and bottom halves. Ensure all snap fasteners are securely locked.
Attach the metal door to the front of the crate. If desired for airline compliance, consider adding extra zip ties or cable ties to the door latches.
If using, attach any separately purchased wheels according to their instructions.
Place a comfortable bed or familiar blanket inside for your pet.

Compatibility:

Airlines: Accepted by most airlines, but *always* confirm specific requirements (dimensions, door security, etc.) with your chosen airline and destination country before booking.
Vehicle Transport: For car travel, the crate should be secured to prevent shifting. Use the handle for carrying, or consider adding aftermarket restraints if available for your vehicle.
Pet Size: Suitable for dogs up to 38 kg. Verify your dog's measurements against the inner dimensions (approx. 83 x 60/54 x 62/56 cm L x W x H) to ensure a proper fit.

Care:

Clean the crate regularly using a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling or putting your pet back inside.
Periodically check the snap fasteners, door hinges, and overall structure for any signs of wear or damage.
