Setup, Compatibility & Care
This digging fork requires no assembly and is ready for immediate use. Its primary compatibility is with standard soil types for digging and turning. To ensure longevity and optimal performance:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove soil and debris from the head and handle. A stiff brush or damp cloth is effective. Avoid harsh detergents.
- Storage: Store the fork in a dry environment, preferably in a shed or garage, to prevent rust and protect the wooden handle from moisture.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the handle for any signs of damage or loosening. Ensure the rivets are secure. The powder coating offers good protection, but avoid prolonged exposure to corrosive substances.
- Sharpening: While not typically required for a digging fork, if the tines become significantly dulled, they can be filed gently with a metal file, though this is rarely necessary with normal use.
