Product Information
Full details
The Lorina Cambridge Kimblewick Bit offers low port space for the tongue, with no collapse on the bars and no severe palate pressure. This is a popular bit for ponies and horses requiring more than a snaffle. The lack of shank on a kimblewick bit gives far less leverage. The Cambridge design from Lorina offers a variety of pressure points: the port pushes against the roof of the mouth if needed, whilst allowing the tongue to move; the D-shaped rings can function as lever arms if the reins are placed at the bottom, and; there is a hoop above the ring which accommodates a curb chain, applying pressure to the chin and amplifying movements in the mouth. The low port gives space for the tongue, with no collapse on the bars and no real palate pressure. The lack of shank on a kimblewick bit gives far less leverage. Available in 4.5", 5" or 5.5".
