Always use distilled or demineralized water. This helps prevent mineral buildup (limescale) inside the unit, which can reduce performance and lifespan, especially if you live in an area with hard water.

Ensure the water tank is filled with water and properly sealed. Check that the mop is securely plugged into a working power outlet. If the issue persists, the unit may need descaling if mineral buildup is present.

Ensure the cleaning pad is clean and properly attached. You may be using too much steam for your floor type; try a lower Smartonic setting. Glide the mop at a steady, slower pace to allow steam to penetrate and dry effectively.

The cleaning pad may be too dirty; replace it with a clean one. Ensure the floor has been swept or vacuumed to remove loose debris that could cause friction.

Check that the water tank cap is tightly closed. Ensure you are only using plain water (distilled or demineralized) and not cleaning solutions, which can cause internal damage or leaks.
