Product Information
Full details
The Beehive Porto Sofa Bed in Grey is designed for homeowners and renters who need a versatile, space-saving solution that functions as both a comfortable living room sofa and a guest bed. Its primary benefit is the integrated lift-up storage compartment, which helps keep rooms clutter-free by housing bedding and pillows directly under the seat. While this sofa offers significant utility and an easy-care fabric finish, potential buyers should note that the cushion design relies on velcro fasteners to stay in place, requiring occasional realignment to maintain a perfectly uniform look.

FAQs
Does the sofa come fully assembled?
The Beehive Porto is delivered in sections to facilitate easier transport through doorways and hallways; simple home assembly is required.
How do I access the storage space?
The seat section is hinged; simply lift the edge of the seat cushion area to reveal the storage cavity underneath.
Can the fabric covers be removed for washing?
The upholstery is designed for easy-care maintenance; spot cleaning is recommended over removing the covers, which are not intended for machine washing.
What type of bedding fits in the storage compartment?
The storage area is sized for standard bed sheets, duvet covers, and standard-sized bed pillows.
Is the grey fabric color consistent?
Yes, the grey upholstery is a consistent, neutral tone designed to pair well with various color palettes and throw pillows.
Troubleshooting
The sofa cushions feel loose or move when seated.
Check if the velcro strips are aligned correctly. Clean the velcro hooks of any trapped fabric or hair and press the cushion firmly into the base to re-engage the adhesive.
The storage compartment is difficult to lift.
Ensure there is no weight on the edge of the seat and that the internal hinges are free of any trapped debris or fabric from the bedding inside.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Integrated under-seat storage saves closet space
- Quick and intuitive conversion from sofa to bed
- Durable fabric ideal for high-traffic living areas
- Neutral grey color matches most decor schemes
Cons
- Cushions require manual repositioning on the velcro tracks
- Limited to one color option
- Requires floor clearance for the pull-out mechanism
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Assembly of the Beehive Porto requires basic tools and is best performed with two people to align the modular sections correctly. Ensure you have at least 150cm of clearance in front of the sofa to allow the bed mechanism to deploy fully without scraping floors.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Vacuum the fabric regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust.
- Spills: Blot liquid spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub, as this may push the stain deeper into the weave.
- Maintenance: Periodically check that the velcro strips on the cushions are clear of lint and debris to ensure a strong grip.
