FAQs

Is this rug machine washable?

No, this rug is intended for surface shampoo cleaning only.

Does it come with a non-slip backing?

No, the rug does not have a built-in non-slip backing. We strongly recommend adding a rug grip for safety on smooth surfaces.

Can I use this rug in a high-traffic hallway?

While durable, the 100cm size is better suited for smaller areas or specific zones like bedrooms and playrooms rather than busy corridors.

What is the diameter of the rug?

The Homemaker Echo Circular Rug has a diameter of 100cm.

Will the animal pattern fade over time?

The rug features a heat-set pile which helps maintain color vibrancy, though it should be kept out of direct, intense sunlight to prevent long-term fading.

Troubleshooting

The rug edges are curling upward after unpacking

Reverse roll the rug for a few hours or place heavy, flat objects on the corners until the fibers settle.

The rug slides around on a hard floor

This rug requires a rug grip. Purchase an anti-slip underlay pad specifically designed for circular rugs to secure it in place.

Spill or stain on the rug surface

Blot immediately with a clean white cloth. Use a mild surface shampoo, following the manufacturer's directions, and avoid oversaturating the backing.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-comfort texture suitable for children
Engaging animal pattern adds character
Compact circular shape fits awkward room corners
Low-maintenance material for busy households

Cons

Does not include a built-in non-slip backing
Only available in one size (100cm)
Requires a separate purchase of a rug grip for safety

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the rug is simple: roll it out on a flat surface. Because it is shipped rolled, you may need to weigh down the edges with books for a few hours to help it lay perfectly flat.

Crucial Safety Note: On hard surfaces such as tile, hardwood, or laminate, you must use a quality rug grip pad underneath to prevent shifting and potential trips.

Care Instructions:

Routine: Vacuum regularly on a low setting to remove dust and debris.
Stain Removal: Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth.
Deep Cleaning: Use a dedicated carpet or surface shampoo. Always test a small, inconspicuous area of the rug first to ensure colorfastness before applying cleaner to the entire surface.
