Permatex High-Strength Threadlocker Red is ideal for heavy-duty applications, suitable for nuts and bolts with diameters from 3/8" to 1" (10mm to 25mm). This red threadlocker is excellent for permanently securing studs and press fits, providing 3,000 PSI holding power on slip and press fit assemblies. It effectively replaces set screws and snap rings, locking against vibration loosening. Removal may require heat or special tools. It offers excellent chemical resistance with a temperature range of -54°C to 150°C and is OEM specified. The product eliminates vibration issues, seals against leakage, prevents thread rusting, cures without cracking or shrinking, and is easy to apply as it requires no mixing and won't cure outside the joint. Its thixotropic nature prevents dripping during assembly, and no torque compensation is needed.
