Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires stripping the outer jacket of your Cat6 cable, untwisting the individual pairs, and inserting them into the Krone-style IDC slots according to your chosen wiring scheme. Use a dedicated punch-down tool to seat the wires into the terminals and trim the excess.
- Compatibility: Compatible with 22-26 AWG ethernet cabling. Ensure the faceplate mounting box is deep enough to accommodate the cable bend radius.
- Care: Keep the contact area free of moisture. If the connection becomes intermittent, check that the cable tie is secure and that no wires have been pulled from the IDC pins.
- Environment: Keep away from high-heat sources and ensure cables are routed without sharp bends to maintain network integrity.
