The SmallRig 3464B Cage is an essential accessory for professional videographers and content creators using the Canon EOS R5, R6, R5 C, or R6 Mark II with the BG-R10 battery grip attached. This form-fitting cage provides robust protection and an extensive array of mounting points for external gear like microphones, monitors, and follow-focus systems, while ensuring seamless access to camera controls. While it offers superior stability and connectivity, it is important to note that this specific model is exclusively designed for use with the BG-R10 battery grip and will not fit your camera body alone.

Ensure the bottom mounting screw is fully tightened using the built-in screwdriver and verify that the side strap slots are properly engaged.
Check if the accessory requires an ARRI-style locating pin; if so, ensure you are using one of the dedicated ARRI-style locating holes on the cage rather than a standard threaded hole.
The cage is designed for full access, but ensure your battery grip is seated correctly against the cage base to allow the door to swing open without obstruction.
To set up the cage, align your Canon camera (with the BG-R10 grip installed) into the frame. Once seated, use the integrated bottom screwdriver to tighten the main 1/4"-20 screw securely. Ensure the shoulder strap slots align to provide secondary stability.
Compatibility: This cage is strictly for the Canon EOS R5, R6, R5 C, and R6 Mark II *only* when the BG-R10 battery grip is attached. It is not designed for standalone camera bodies.
Care: The aluminum finish is durable, but avoid impact on hard surfaces to prevent dings. Periodically check that the mounting screw remains tight, especially when using heavy lenses or external rigs. Clean with a soft, dry cloth; if using near salt water, wipe down the unit to prevent corrosion.
