Product Information

Full details

The Cozy N Safe Fitzroy+ i-Size Car Seat is designed for parents seeking a single, long-term solution for child travel from birth up to 12 years. Its key benefit is the extended rear-facing capability and adaptable design that grows with your child, ensuring safety and comfort throughout their early years. A potential caveat is that it relies on vehicle seat belt installation, which may be less intuitive for some users compared to ISOFIX systems. This car seat offers comprehensive protection, featuring extended rear-facing support, a 5-point harness, side impact protection, and an adjustable headrest, all covered in comfortable padding.

Troubleshooting

Car seat seems loose after installation

Double-check that the vehicle seat belt is routed correctly through all guides and is pulled as tight as possible. Ensure there are no twists in the seat belt. Try a different seating position in the car if available.

Harness is difficult to adjust

Ensure the headrest is in the lowest position when trying to adjust the harness. Check for any obstructions or twisting in the harness straps. Refer to the manual for specific adjustment instructions for the headrest and harness system.

Child appears uncomfortable

Ensure the newborn or toddler inserts are used correctly for smaller children. Adjust the headrest to the correct height for your child's head and neck support. Check that the harness straps are not twisted and are snug but not overly tight.

Machine-washable cover won't fit back on

Ensure the cover is completely dry. Fabric can sometimes shrink slightly after washing. Gently stretch the cover as you re-attach it, working from the headrest down.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Covers a wide age and height range (birth to 12 years), offering long-term value.
Extended rear-facing option up to 105cm enhances safety for younger children.
Vehicle seat belt installation provides flexibility for use in multiple cars without ISOFIX.
Comfortable padding and adjustable headrest ensure a pleasant journey for the child.
Machine-washable covers make maintenance simple and hygienic.

Cons

Installation relies solely on vehicle seat belts, which can be more complex than ISOFIX for some users.
May not have the very latest integrated features found in some higher-end seats.
The size and weight might be a consideration for frequent transfers between vehicles.
While versatile, it's a single seat and might eventually need a booster without a harness for older children.
The specific color (Ecru, Cream) may show dirt more readily than darker options.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Fitzroy+ is designed for vehicle seat belt installation. Ensure the car's seat belt is routed correctly through the designated belt guides on the car seat. Tighten the vehicle seat belt firmly, ensuring the car seat does not move more than an inch side-to-side at the belt path. Refer to the instruction manual for detailed diagrams specific to your vehicle.

Compatibility: This seat is compatible with most vehicles that have a standard 3-point vehicle seat belt. It is certified to ECE R129, ensuring it meets the latest European safety standards.

Care: The seat covers are removable and machine washable. Wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and air dry completely before reattaching. The harness and plastic parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
