Troubleshooting
Freezer not turning on or not cooling.
Check if the freezer is properly plugged into a live power outlet. Ensure the power switch (if any) is on. Verify that the fuse or circuit breaker for the outlet has not tripped. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
Excessive ice build-up inside the freezer.
Ensure the freezer door is closing completely and the seal is intact. Avoid leaving the door open for extended periods. Check if the door seal is clean and free of obstructions. If it's not a frost-free model, periodic manual defrosting will be necessary.
Freezer is making unusual noises.
Check that the freezer is level using the adjustable feet, as an unlevel appliance can cause vibrations. Ensure nothing is touching the back or sides of the freezer. Normal operation may include humming from the compressor or gurgling from the refrigerant.
Food is not freezing properly.
Ensure the temperature setting is appropriate for freezing (typically around -18°C). Avoid overloading the freezer, as this can impede airflow. Check if the door is sealing correctly and if there is excessive ice build-up that might be affecting performance.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Ensure no parts are left inside the freezer.
- Placement: Position the freezer on a firm, level surface, ensuring adequate ventilation around the sides and back. Allow sufficient space for the door to open fully.
- Adjusting Feet: Use the adjustable feet at the bottom to level the appliance. This is crucial for efficient operation and to prevent noise.
- Reversible Door (Optional): If your kitchen layout requires it, you can reverse the door hinging. Consult the user manual for detailed, step-by-step instructions on this process.
- Initial Power-Up: After positioning and leveling, wait at least 4 hours before plugging the freezer into a power outlet. This allows refrigerating fluids to settle.
- First Use: Set the desired temperature and allow the freezer to run empty for a few hours (e.g., 2-4 hours) before loading it with food.
Compatibility
The Igenix Tall Freezer's compact dimensions (H:142.0 x W:55.0 x D:55.0 cm) make it suitable for a wide range of kitchen spaces. The reversible door enhances its compatibility with various kitchen designs and existing appliance arrangements. Its clean white finish also integrates seamlessly into most modern and traditional kitchen aesthetics.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: Info needed: For specific cleaning instructions, refer to your user manual. Generally, the interior can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Ensure the freezer is unplugged before cleaning.
- Defrosting: As this model is not explicitly stated as 'frost-free', periodic manual defrosting will likely be required to maintain efficiency and prevent ice build-up. Follow the instructions in your user manual for safe defrosting.
- Door Seals: Regularly inspect door seals for cleanliness and damage to ensure a tight seal, which is critical for energy efficiency.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation grilles at the back or sides are not blocked to allow proper airflow for the compressor.
