Full details

The SmallRig Four-Channel Battery Charger 5747 is an essential tool for professional photographers and videographers using Nikon EN-EL15C batteries who need to maintain a constant power supply for long-duration shoots. By centralizing charging into a single USB-C unit, it eliminates the clutter of multiple wall adapters; however, it requires a high-wattage USB-C power source to realize its full, simultaneous charging potential across all four ports.

FAQs

Can I use a phone charger with this?

You can, but if the charger output is less than 45W, the charging speeds will be significantly reduced or the unit may not be able to charge all four batteries at once.

Is this charger compatible with other Nikon batteries?

The SmallRig 5747 is specifically designed for the Nikon EN-EL15C. Check official SmallRig documentation for compatibility with other EN-EL15 variants.

Does this charger drain the batteries if left plugged in?

No, the device includes protection circuitry and is designed to stop charging once the battery reaches full capacity.

Can I charge only one battery at a time?

Yes, the charger is flexible and will function perfectly even if only one or two batteries are inserted.

Does it come with a USB-C cable?

Please check your specific retail package contents, though it is recommended to use a high-quality USB-C cable capable of handling 45W power delivery.

Troubleshooting

Batteries are charging very slowly.

Ensure you are using a USB-C power adapter that supports at least 45W. A lower wattage adapter will cause the charger to throttle its output.

LED indicator does not light up when a battery is inserted.

Check that the battery is fully seated in the slot and inspect the metal contact pins for any visible obstructions or debris.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the unit, simply connect a USB-C cable from a 45W power adapter to the input port on the charger. Slide your Nikon EN-EL15C batteries into the designated slots until they click into place.

Compatibility: This unit is specifically calibrated for Nikon EN-EL15C battery packs.
