FAQs

What types of flux can I use with these brushes?

You can use these brushes with all common plumbing fluxes and pastes.

How do I clean the brushes?

Clean the brushes thoroughly after each use with a solvent appropriate for the flux or paste used.

Are these brushes suitable for high-temperature applications?

Yes, these brushes are suitable for use with fluxes and pastes used in high-temperature soldering and brazing applications.

How long will the brushes last?

The lifespan of the brushes depends on the frequency of use and care. With proper cleaning and storage, they should last for a reasonable period.

Can I use these brushes for other purposes?

While these brushes are designed for flux and paste application, they can be used for other similar applications where a precise application of liquids or pastes is needed.

Are the handles resistant to chemicals?

The handles are made of corrosion-free plastic and should resist most common chemicals used in plumbing. However, avoid prolonged exposure to harsh solvents.

What is the benefit of having three brushes?

The pack of three brushes allows you to use one for different types of flux or paste, or for different stages of the soldering process, without cross-contamination.

Troubleshooting

Bristles falling out during use.

Ensure the brush is appropriate for the type of flux or paste. Replace the brush if bristles continue to fall out after cleaning or with normal use.

Flux application is uneven.

Ensure the brush is adequately loaded with flux and apply with a smooth, even stroke. If the bristles are worn, replace the brush.

Brush handle is slippery.

Clean the handle with a degreasing agent to remove any residue. Ensure your hands are clean and dry when using the brush.
