Product Information

Full details

The Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer is designed for anyone seeking a radiant, flawless complexion. This illuminating gel primer helps to blur imperfections and boost radiance, creating an ideal base for makeup or a natural "no makeup" look. A key caveat is that while it enhances skin appearance, it's not a standalone solution for significant skin concerns.

FAQs

Can I use this primer with any foundation?

Yes, the Touche Éclat Blur Primer is compatible with most foundations. It works especially well with Yves Saint Laurent foundations.

Can I use the primer on its own?

Yes, you can wear the primer alone for a radiant, "no makeup" makeup look. It helps to even out skin tone and give a subtle blurring effect.

How much primer should I use?

One pump is usually sufficient for the entire face.

How long should I wait before applying foundation?

Wait about 10 seconds to allow the primer to fully absorb and create a smooth base before applying your foundation.

Does this primer contain SPF?

No, the Touche Éclat Blur Primer does not contain SPF. You should use a separate sunscreen for sun protection.

Is this primer suitable for sensitive skin?

The formula is generally well-tolerated, but if you have sensitive skin, it's always a good idea to test a small area first to check for any reaction.

Troubleshooting

Primer feels thick or doesn't spread easily.

Ensure your skin is clean and moisturized before application. Apply a smaller amount of the primer and gently massage it into the skin.

Makeup doesn't last as long as expected.

Make sure to allow the primer to fully set for about 10 seconds before applying foundation. Also, consider using a setting spray.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Creates a smooth base for makeup application.
  • Enhances skin luminosity for a radiant appearance.
  • Minimizes the appearance of fine lines and imperfections.
  • Easy to apply with a fluid gel format.
  • Can be worn alone for a natural, perfected look.

Cons

  • May not address significant skin concerns like deep wrinkles or acne.
  • Effectiveness can vary based on skin type and condition.
  • The blurring effect might not be noticeable for all skin types.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Application:

  1. Dispense one pump of primer onto the back of your hand.
  2. Using a foundation brush or clean fingers, apply with gentle sweeping motions from the center of your face outward.
  3. Allow the primer to melt into your skin for about 10 seconds before applying foundation (if desired).

Compatibility:

The primer is designed to work with all skin types. It is particularly effective when used with other Yves Saint Laurent products, such as the Touche Éclat Le Teint Foundation and Touche Éclat Illuminating Pen.

Care:

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Ensure the cap is tightly closed to prevent the product from drying out.
