The VEVOR Japanese Tatami Mat is designed for individuals seeking a natural, minimalist flooring solution for sleeping, meditation, or yoga practice. Crafted from authentic rush grass, this mat offers superior temperature regulation and air purification, creating a serene environment. While it provides firm support and excellent breathability, potential users should note that the natural material requires specific care to prevent moisture buildup, making it less suitable for damp or humid areas without proper ventilation.

Yes, it can be used on concrete, but ensure the floor is completely dry and free of trapped moisture before placing the mat down.
No, the natural rush grass is porous and can absorb liquids, which may lead to staining or mold.
Ensure the mat is completely dry, fold it along its natural seams, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
It is recommended to use the mat barefoot or with clean socks to preserve the delicate texture of the rush grass.
Natural grass will undergo a slight color shift to a golden-tan hue when exposed to sunlight; this is a normal aging process.
Use a soft brush or a vacuum on a low-suction setting to gently remove debris along the direction of the grass weave.
This is characteristic of natural rush grass; air the mat out in a shaded, well-ventilated space for 24 hours to dissipate the scent.
Place the mat in a dry area with good air circulation. Do not use heat sources like hair dryers to speed up the process.
Setting up your VEVOR Tatami mat is straightforward; simply unfold it on a flat, dry floor. It is compatible with most hard surface flooring, including wood, laminate, and tile. To maintain the integrity of the rush grass, avoid placing the mat on carpet for extended periods, as this restricts airflow. Cleaning should be done by wiping the surface with a dry or lightly damp cloth along the grain of the weave. Never use harsh chemicals or allow the mat to become soaked. Every few months, place the mat in a well-ventilated, shaded area to allow the natural fibers to release trapped moisture.
