No, the La Cafetière Venice 6 Cup Espresso Maker must be washed by hand to preserve the finish and structural integrity.
Generally, standard aluminium stovetop makers are not induction compatible unless used with a specific induction adapter plate.
For best results, use a medium-fine grind, similar to the texture of table salt.
It has a 290ml capacity, which provides approximately 6 'demitasse' (espresso) sized cups.
No, the handle is designed with a wood-effect finish that stays cool during the brewing process.
The silicone gasket is a consumable part. If it becomes brittle or stops sealing effectively, it should be replaced with a compatible size gasket.
Ensure the top and bottom chambers are screwed together tightly and check that no coffee grounds are stuck on the gasket rim.
Use a lower heat setting and remove the pot from the stove as soon as the brewing noise stops to prevent overheating the grounds.
Do not overfill the water chamber beyond the safety valve line and ensure the coffee grounds are not packed too tightly.
Before the first use, it is recommended to run a 'cycle' of water only to clean the internal components. For daily use, ensure the gasket is seated correctly to prevent steam leaks. This espresso maker is compatible with gas and electric stovetops. For cleaning, wait for the unit to cool completely after brewing. Disassemble the three main parts and rinse with warm, soapy water. Always dry the pieces thoroughly before reassembling to prevent oxidation or water spots. Avoid harsh detergents or scouring pads to maintain the vibrant green exterior finish.
