Product Information
Full details
The Marlow Pom Pom Curtains are ideal for homeowners seeking a blend of playful aesthetic and functional light management in bedrooms, nurseries, or living areas. These curtains provide a significant benefit by offering room-darkening capabilities that filter 50 to 60 percent of sunlight while simultaneously improving privacy and insulation. A notable caveat to consider is that while these curtains offer substantial light filtering, they are not 100% blackout curtains, meaning some ambient light will remain visible during the day.

FAQs
Are these curtains 100% blackout?
No, they are rated as room-darkening curtains, filtering approximately 50 to 60 percent of sunlight.
Can I use these with a track system?
Yes, the curtains support hook attachments, which are compatible with most standard track systems.
How many panels are in the package?
The set includes two panels.
Are they machine washable?
They are machine washable on a gentle cycle, but we recommend using a mesh garment bag to protect the pom-pom detailing.
Will these curtains help with high energy bills?
Yes, their triple-layer construction provides an insulating effect that helps regulate indoor temperatures year-round.
Can I use these in a nursery?
Absolutely, the soft pink color and pom-pom detail are ideal for nursery decor, and the light-filtering properties help with nap times.
Troubleshooting
Curtains look flat or wrinkled after unpacking
Use a handheld garment steamer on a low setting to gently release wrinkles and fluff the fabric and pom-poms.
Visible light gap at the center
Ensure that your curtain rod is wide enough to allow for sufficient overlap of the two panels.
Pom-poms snagging during maintenance
Always turn curtains inside out or place them in a large mesh laundry bag before washing.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High level of installation versatility with six hanging styles
- Effective at improving indoor temperature stability
- Soft, stylish pom-pom aesthetic suitable for various rooms
- Reduces ambient noise for better rest
- Filters over half of incoming sunlight
Cons
- Not a full blackout curtain solution
- Requires careful cleaning due to decorative pom-pom detailing
- Specific 117 cm x 183 cm size may not fit extra-wide windows without multiple sets
Setup, Compatibility & Care
These curtains arrive as a two-panel set designed for ease of installation. Depending on your hardware, you can choose between rod pockets, back tabs, hooks, or clips. To maintain the appearance of the pom-poms, it is recommended to gently shake the panels after unpacking to fluff them out. For cleaning, follow the care label strictly; because of the decorative elements, hand washing or a gentle machine cycle in a mesh bag is advised to prevent snagging or damage to the pom-poms. Avoid using harsh chemical detergents to preserve the integrity of the triple-layer fabric.
