Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
This toilet pan requires professional installation due to its back-to-wall design and the necessity of a concealed cistern. The installation process typically involves:
- Framing and Concealing: Building a stud wall or using a pre-fabricated WC unit to house the concealed cistern and pipework.
- Water Connection: Connecting the concealed cistern to the water supply.
- Pan Installation: Securing the toilet pan to the floor and connecting it to the waste pipe and the concealed cistern's flush mechanism.
- Finishing: Tiling or paneling the WC unit and installing the flush plate.
Compatibility:
- Concealed Cistern: Compatible with standard dual-flush concealed cisterns designed for back-to-wall toilet pans. Ensure the cistern dimensions fit within your chosen WC unit or framed space.
- Waste Pipe: Requires standard toilet waste pipe connection (typically 4-inch diameter).
- Flush Plate: Compatible with most standard flush plates designed for concealed cisterns.
Care:
- Cleaning the Pan: Use a soft, damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scouring pads, which can damage the vitreous china surface.
- Cleaning the Seat: The soft close seat can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Ensure hinges are kept free of debris.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the flush mechanism within the concealed cistern as per the cistern manufacturer's instructions. The external pan requires only routine cleaning.
