Can I use this lead for a puppy?

Yes, if the puppy is a small breed and weighs under 12 kg, this lead is suitable. However, always supervise puppies during walks.

How do I clean the Flexi New Comfort lead?

Wipe the exterior of the lead casing and the cord with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents or immerse the lead in water, as this can damage the internal mechanism.

Is the cord retractable?

Yes, this is a retractable cord lead. It features a braking system that allows you to stop and lock the lead at any desired length.

What accessories can I use with this lead?

This lead is compatible with the Flexi LED Lighting System and the Flexi Multi Box, which can hold treats or waste bags. These accessories are sold separately.

What is the length of the lead?

The lead features a 5-meter cord.

Does the lead have reflective elements?

Yes, the lead includes a protector belt with reflective components to enhance visibility in low-light conditions.

Troubleshooting

Lead does not retract fully

Ensure the cord is not tangled or caught on anything. Gently pull the cord out slightly and press the brake button, then release to allow it to retract. Check for debris in the casing. If persistent, the internal mechanism may be damaged.

Braking system feels loose or unresponsive

Clean any dirt or debris from the button and surrounding area. Ensure the cord is not obstructed. If the issue persists, the braking mechanism may require professional inspection or replacement.

Cord tangles easily

Avoid letting the cord lie on the ground where it can get knotted. When retracting, guide the cord gently to prevent kinks. Fully retract the lead when not in use.

Carabiner is stiff or difficult to open/close

Check the carabiner for dirt or rust. Clean it with a small brush and apply a tiny amount of lubricant if necessary. Ensure it is fully opened before attaching and closing securely.

Pros and Cons

Cons

The 5m length might be insufficient for very energetic dogs needing more freedom.
