The THINKCAR ThinkDiag Mini is a versatile Bluetooth OBD2 diagnostic tool designed for both professional technicians and automotive DIY enthusiasts who require deep vehicle insights. It excels at transforming a standard smartphone into a professional-grade diagnostic scanner that can read and clear codes across engine, transmission, ABS, and airbag systems. While it offers immense value through its comprehensive system access and automated VIN recognition, users should note that certain advanced features may require an active internet connection to access the latest vehicle diagnostic software databases.

Yes, once you have identified the issues through the diagnostic scan, the app provides the option to clear the stored fault codes.
Yes, the device is not VIN-locked and can be used on any compatible vehicle.
Basic diagnostic functions are included, but verify current app terms for any premium feature subscriptions.
Yes, the battery test function works with the ignition set to the accessory position or 'ON' position.
Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is turned on, the device is plugged firmly into the OBD2 port, and no other app is currently connected to the device.
Verify that the ignition is in the 'ON' position (engine off) and manually enter the VIN if the automatic scan fails due to a communication protocol error.
Ensure the ThinkDiag+ app is updated to the latest version and that you have downloaded the specific manufacturer software package within the app.
To begin using the ThinkDiag Mini, download the 'ThinkDiag+' app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Create an account, plug the device into the vehicle's OBD2 port (typically found under the dashboard), and enable Bluetooth on your smartphone. Follow the in-app prompts to pair the device; the app will automatically attempt to read the VIN. Ensure your smartphone is charged before beginning deep diagnostic sessions, as constant Bluetooth communication can consume battery life. For care, keep the unit in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and ensure the OBD2 pins are kept free of debris to maintain a solid connection.
