FAQs
How do I clean the Anika Square Toilet Seat effectively?
For effective cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap or a non-abrasive bathroom cleaner. The quick-release function allows you to detach the seat for thorough cleaning of both the seat and the toilet pan area around the hinges.
What is the benefit of the soft-close mechanism?
The soft-close mechanism gently lowers the toilet seat and lid, preventing loud slamming noises. This creates a quieter bathroom environment, protects the seat and hinges from damage, and enhances safety by reducing the risk of pinched fingers.
How do I detach the toilet seat for cleaning?
Locate the two buttons on the sides of the hinge mechanism. Press both buttons simultaneously and lift the seat and lid away from the pan. Reattach by aligning the hinges with the posts and pressing down until they click securely.
What material is the toilet seat made from?
The Anika Square Toilet Seat is made from high-quality polypropylene (PP), which is known for its durability, impact resistance, and stain resistance, making it easy to clean and maintain.
Is this toilet seat suitable for all toilet shapes?
No, this toilet seat is specifically designed for square-shaped toilet pans. It measures 41.5 x 36 cm. It is not compatible with round or D-shaped toilet bowls.
Are the fixing bolts included with the toilet seat?
Yes, the toilet seat includes secure top fixings and adjustable fittings necessary for installation.
How do I reattach the toilet seat after cleaning?
Align the hinges on the seat with the corresponding posts on the toilet pan. Gently push down on the seat until you hear or feel a click, indicating it has securely re-engaged.
Troubleshooting
Toilet seat lid slams shut.
Ensure the lid is being lowered gently. The soft-close mechanism may require a full, gentle drop to engage. Check that the hinges are clean and free of debris, which could impede the soft-close function.
Seat or lid is loose after installation.
Re-tighten the top fixing bolts. Ensure the hinges are properly aligned with the bolt holes and that the adjustable fittings are secured firmly against the pan.
Quick-release buttons are difficult to press or detach.
Check the buttons and hinge area for any debris or residue. Clean the mechanism gently with a damp cloth. Ensure the seat is correctly aligned before attempting to detach.
Seat is not compatible with my toilet.
Verify that your toilet pan is square-shaped and measures approximately 41.5 x 36 cm. This seat is not designed for round or D-shaped toilet bowls.
