Royal Canin Mother and Babycat Ultra Soft Mousse is an essential nutritional solution designed for nursing queens during gestation and lactation, as well as for kittens aged 1 to 4 months transitioning to solid food. This specialized wet diet provides the high caloric density required for reproductive stress and rapid early growth; however, it is specifically optimized for this brief window and should be transitioned to a standard growth formula once the kitten reaches four months of age.

While it is nutritionally safe, it is formulated with very high calorie and nutrient levels intended specifically for growth and lactation, so it is not recommended for sedentary adult cats.
It is intended for kittens from 1 to 4 months old, at which point they should be transitioned to a standard kitten growth diet.
Only after the can has been opened; unopened cans should be stored at room temperature.
Yes, mixing the mousse with the appropriate Mother & Babycat dry kibble is a great way to encourage weaning.
Feeding amounts vary based on the queen's weight and the number of kittens she is nursing; consult the feeding guide on the can or your veterinarian for specific caloric requirements.
Try warming the food slightly to room temperature or mixing in a small amount of warm water to increase the aroma.
Ensure a gradual transition by mixing the mousse with the previous diet over a period of 5-7 days.
To ensure freshness, keep the tins in a cool, dry place. Once opened, any unused portion must be covered and stored in the refrigerator for no more than 24 to 48 hours. Before serving refrigerated portions, allow the food to reach room temperature to enhance palatability and prevent cold-sensitive kittens from refusing the meal. This product is a complete and balanced diet, meaning it does not require additional supplementation, though fresh drinking water should be available at all times.
