This DriveAlign™ Aux Belt Tensioner from Gates, part number T38770, is designed for V-ribbed belts and is compatible with various MINI Convertible Cooper R57 models from 2009 to 2015 with 1.6L engines. It features unique sealing to prevent contamination of internal parts, a chrome-silicone torsion spring for improved flex fatigue characteristics, and a special damping mechanism to increase belt and tensioner life. Premium precision bearings minimize friction, reducing bearing wear and noise. This tensioner replaces Gates part number T36836 and is equivalent to OEM references from BMW, Citroën, Mini, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall, including BMW part numbers 11287534400, 11287571013, 11287598831, and 11287598832, and Citroën/DS part number 120455.
