Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or any other contaminants. Lightly abrading smooth surfaces can improve adhesion.
- Application: Apply the adhesive evenly to one or both surfaces, depending on the application. A toothed spreader can assist with even distribution.
- Clamping: Depending on the materials and application, clamping may be required to maintain pressure during the initial setting phase. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for clamping time and pressure.
- Curing: Allow the adhesive to cure completely according to the manufacturer's instructions. Curing time is influenced by temperature and humidity.
Compatibility
Bond It PU Rapid Wood Adhesive is compatible with wood, chipboard, laminate, metals, polyurethane, expanded and extruded polystyrene foams, mineral wool, concrete, stone, bricks, gypsum boards, and all traditional porous substrates.
Care
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and heat sources.
- Cleanup: Remove any uncured adhesive with a suitable solvent. Once cured, the adhesive is difficult to remove.
- Safety: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and eye protection, during application. Ensure adequate ventilation in the work area.
