Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Professional Installation: Due to the unvented design, professional installation by a qualified plumber is strongly recommended to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Mounting: Choose the appropriate model (vertical or horizontal) based on your space and plumbing layout. Securely mount the unit according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Plumbing Connections: Connect the water inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure all connections are watertight. The expansion vessel must be correctly installed to accommodate water expansion during heating.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the unit to a suitable electrical supply, following all safety guidelines and local electrical codes.
- Commissioning: Once installed, have the system commissioned by a qualified professional to verify correct operation and safety.
Compatibility
The Heatrae Sadia Multipoint Eco Water Heater is compatible with most standard plumbing systems. However, it's essential to:
- Ensure your water pressure is within the specified operating range of the unit.
- Verify the electrical supply meets the requirements of the 3kW heating element.
- Confirm compatibility with any existing water treatment systems or filters.
Care
- Regular Inspections: Periodically inspect the unit for any leaks or unusual noises.
- Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve: Test the temperature and pressure relief valve regularly to ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Descaling: In areas with hard water, regular descaling is recommended to prevent the build-up of mineral deposits that can reduce efficiency and lifespan. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for descaling.
- External Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth; avoid using abrasive cleaners.
- Professional Servicing: Schedule professional servicing as recommended by the manufacturer to maintain optimal performance and longevity.
