Product Information
Full details
Oral-B Super Floss is designed for individuals with dental bridges, orthodontic appliances, or wider interdental gaps who require a specialized cleaning tool for effective plaque removal. This product provides a comprehensive cleaning solution by combining a rigid threader, a spongy floss segment, and standard floss in one convenient unit; however, it is specifically optimized for these unique dental needs and may be less efficient for those with tightly spaced natural teeth.

FAQs
Can I use Super Floss with regular teeth?
Yes, it is safe for regular teeth, though the spongy section may be too thick for individuals with very tight contact points between teeth.
How many times should I use one strand?
Each strand is designed for single-use to ensure optimal hygiene and prevent the transfer of bacteria.
Does it contain fluoride?
The product is designed for mechanical plaque removal; it does not contain added fluoride.
Is it suitable for children with braces?
Yes, it is excellent for children with braces, though they may require initial guidance on how to thread the rigid tip correctly.
How do I store the floss?
Store the package in a dry, cool place to keep the strands clean and hygienic for daily use.
Can I use this instead of a water flosser?
It can be used as a standalone or supplementary tool. Many dentists recommend a combination of both for the best results.
Troubleshooting
The rigid tip keeps bending while threading.
Ensure you are holding the stiffened tip firmly and guiding it parallel to the gumline rather than pushing it forcibly against the bridge or wire.
The spongy floss frays during use.
Avoid forceful sawing motions around sharp metal brackets; use a gentle back-and-forth sliding motion instead.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Integrated design combines three distinct cleaning functions in one strand
- Rigid tip simplifies flossing around complex dental hardware
- Pre-cut strands offer maximum convenience and portability
- Specifically formulated to clean around orthodontic appliances and bridge work
- Effective at removing plaque from beneath the gumline
Cons
- Not intended for users with naturally tight interdental spaces
- Requires more manual dexterity than standard water flossers
- Each strand is single-use, leading to higher consumption rates
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Oral-B Super Floss is a manual hygiene product that requires no installation or electrical setup. To use, simply remove one pre-cut strand from the packaging. Insert the stiffened end through the gap or under your appliance, pull the spongy section through the area to loosen plaque, and use the standard floss segment to finish the cleaning at the gumline. This product is compatible with all orthodontic hardware, including traditional braces, Invisalign attachments, and fixed dental bridges. Always dispose of the used strand in a waste bin after a single use; do not attempt to reuse or wash the floss, as it will lose its structural integrity and can harbor bacteria.
