Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires basic woodworking tools and appropriate exterior-grade screws or brackets. When mounting as a fence topper, ensure that your existing posts are structurally sound enough to support the added weight and wind resistance.
- Installation: Use rust-resistant brackets to secure the panel to posts or walls. Always pre-drill holes in the timber to prevent splitting.
- Compatibility: Matches well with standard timber fencing products. Ensure the thickness of your mounting surface can support the screws used for installation.
- Care: While pressure-treated, the wood will last longer if treated with an exterior wood preservative every 1-2 years. Regularly check that fixings remain tight and clear the trellis of heavy, dead plant debris after winter to prevent unnecessary strain on the timber structure.
