FAQs

Is this wheel compatible with standard quick-release forks?

No, this wheel is specifically designed for a 12 x 100mm thru-axle system.

Can I use tires narrower than 28c?

While the rim can physically hold thinner tires, it is optimized for 28c to 48c tires to maintain the correct profile.

What type of brake rotors does this wheel use?

This wheel is compatible with standard 6-bolt disc brake rotors.

How often should I service the bearings?

Service intervals depend on riding conditions, but annual cleaning and greasing of the seals are recommended for riders in wet or muddy climates.

Is the wheelset tubeless-ready out of the box?

The rim is tubeless-ready, but you will need to ensure you have compatible tubeless tape and valves installed if you intend to run a tubeless setup.

Troubleshooting

Wheel feels sluggish or has drag

Check that the thru-axle is not over-tightened and inspect the hub seals for debris buildup.

Difficulty seating tubeless tires

Ensure the rim tape is applied correctly and use a tubeless-specific booster pump or compressor to provide an initial high-pressure burst.

Brake rotor movement or noise

Verify that all 6-bolt rotor screws are torqued properly and check for any play in the disc mounting surface.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely high engagement for snappy acceleration
Versatile internal width accommodates various tire sizes
Durable 32-spoke build handles rough gravel and loaded riding
Tubeless-ready design for improved puncture protection and lower pressure
High-quality sealed bearings for longevity

Cons

Not the lightest wheelset on the market due to robust build
Requires 12x100mm thru-axle compatibility
Limited to 6-bolt rotor interfaces
Anodized finish may show scuffs from trail debris over time

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Compatibility: This wheel is a front-specific unit measuring 12 x 100mm. Ensure your fork uses a 12mm thru-axle system before installation.
Tire Setup: The rim is tubeless-ready. If running tubeless, ensure you use compatible tubeless rim tape and high-quality sealant. If using tubes, ensure you use the correct valve length for the rim profile.
Maintenance: Check spoke tension after the first 50 miles of riding, as new wheels often undergo a short 'bedding-in' period. Periodically wipe down the hub shell to prevent grit accumulation near the seals and inspect the 6-bolt rotor fasteners to ensure they remain torqued to manufacturer specifications.
