They are designed for time-saving stripping of all round sheathed and damp-proof installation cables, such as NYM cable. The slim head design and optimally angled cable sheath cutter provide simplified access, especially into deep-mounted junction boxes. Cables are stripped easily and without damage due to the circular cutting edge with a depth limiter. They are suitable for universal use, featuring precision wire stripping holes for conductors from 1.5 and 2.5 mm², and side cutters for trimming conductors, wires, small screws, and nails. All cutting edges are induction-hardened to approximately 61 HRC for high wear resistance, and the pliers are 30% lighter than comparable models. Cutting capacities include medium hard wire up to Ø 3.2mm and hard wire up to Ø 2.2mm. Stripping capacities range from 8–13mm in diameter, or 0.75–1.5mm² and 2.5mm² in square millimeters. These pliers are VDE tested.
