Dirt, grime, algae, lichen, and persistent black spots are removed within two to four hours. Unlike acid-based alternatives, this alkaline formula prevents surface etching or damage. Application:** Pre-clean the area, removing loose debris. Wear appropriate safety gear (gloves, eye protection, mask, and clothing). Use neat or diluted 1:1 with water, test a small area first to determine the ideal dilution and dwell time. Apply via pump sprayer, watering can, or directly from the container. Maintain a wet surface for at least two hours, misting with water if necessary to prevent drying. Use a brush if needed, ensuring the surface remains wet. After two to four hours, rinse with clean water to neutralize, then power wash for best results. Avoid contact with vegetation, rinse thoroughly if contact occurs. For heavily soiled areas or stubborn stains, extend dwell time up to eight hours or overnight before power washing. Aged lichen may require two to three applications and extended dwell times, test first. Caution:** Contains a chlorine-type agent, avoid contact with fabrics and tarmac. Unlike acid-based cleaners, alkaline-based cleaners will not damage or etch the surface of the stone. How To Apply: Before use, remove any loose debris from the surface area and ensure you have adequate safety wear i.e. gloves, suitable protective eyewear, face mask and clothing. The black spot remover is to be used neat or diluted 1:1 with clean water - always perform a small test area to determine a suitable dilution rate and dwell time. Carefully transfer the cleaning fluid from the bottle to a pump sprayer or watering can. In contrast, if these containers are not available, then the cleaning fluid can be used directly from the bucket. The cleaning fluid needs to be left on the surface for at least two hours. During that time, the surface must not be allowed to dry out. If necessary, mist it with additional cleaning fluid or clean water to prevent it from drying. Work the area(s) of staining with a brush, if necessary, but ensure the surface remains wet at all times. Leave to dwell, and after two to four hours of dwell time, the treated area should be washed down with clean water first to neutralise the cleaner before, then power washing off for perfect results. Please Note: The cleaning fluid can harm or possibly kill vegetation, so try to avoid washing off garden or lawn grass. If this is unavoidable, then rinse with plenty of clean water to dilute the cleaner. In areas of heavy soiling and extreme, stubborn black spots, it may be necessary to extend the dwell time to up to eight hours or overnight, where necessary, before power washing off. To achieve perfect results on aged, stubborn black or white lichen spots, test a small area to ascertain the required dwell time necessary to remove the marks - then follow the instructions above.
