FAQs

Does this require electricity?

No, the VEVOR FD-13 is a fully manual device and does not require batteries or power cables.

Can I use this on hardwood floors?

Yes, it is designed to work effectively on hard surfaces including hardwood, laminate, and tile.

How do I clean the bristles?

Use the included cleaning comb to pull hair and lint out of the bristles after use.

Is it effective for cat litter?

Yes, the sweeper is capable of picking up small debris like cat litter, provided the particles are not excessively large.

How often should I empty the dustbin?

For optimal performance, empty the 300ml dustbin after each use or whenever you notice debris is not being picked up efficiently.

Troubleshooting

Sweeper is pushing debris rather than collecting it

Check for obstructions in the brush roll and ensure the sweeper is being moved in a consistent back-and-forth motion.

Dustbin lid will not close securely

Ensure the debris is not overfilling the bin and verify the clasp is free of dust buildup that might prevent a firm lock.

Difficulty moving on carpet

Ensure you are using the device on a low-to-medium pile carpet; high-pile or plush rugs may create too much resistance for the manual rollers.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Silent operation suitable for any time of day
No recurring costs for electricity or batteries
Compact profile allows for easy storage in tight closets
Hygienic hands-free dustbin disposal system
Highly maneuverable around obstacles

Cons

Not suitable for thick, high-pile shag carpets
Limited capacity compared to powered vacuum cleaners
Requires manual effort for large surface areas

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup requires minimal assembly, involving a simple connection of the handle sections to the base unit. The sweeper is compatible with most standard residential flooring types, provided the carpet pile is not excessively thick. For care, keep the brush roll free of tangled hair by using the included cleaning comb after every few uses. The dustbin should be emptied by releasing the side clasp directly over a waste bin to prevent dust from settling back onto the floor. Avoid using the sweeper on wet surfaces or to pick up sharp objects, as these can damage the bristle brushes or the internal mechanism.
