Full details

The Zeiss 50mm f1.5 T* C Sonnar ZM Lens is a standard focal length lens with special qualities that make it well suited for portraiture. The 'C' designation signifies both 'compact' and 'classic', with the lens design and aperture geometry reflecting its 1930s predecessor. This new lens stays true to its heritage, physically resembling objectives from bygone days. The excellent flare control inherent in the Sonnar lens design is further optimized with the Zeiss T* anti-reflection coating. With its fast aperture, capturing photographs with a beautiful 'bokeh' that reflects the ambiance of the golden age of rangefinder photography is simple. It is a high-speed lens, ideal for capturing impressive photographs in low light conditions because it captures as much light as possible. The finely tuned features of the optical design ensure a spectacular bokeh, with particularly harmonious effects in blurred areas. The ten diaphragm blades and the resulting virtually circular aperture are crucial for favorable rendition of highlights in the foreground and background. Manually focusing a lens means controlling the image result from your fingertips. A good ergonomic design makes all the difference. The user-friendly focusing ring with an ergonomic finger rest is perfect for fast, precise focusing, with changes immediately visible in the viewfinder. The high-quality focusing mechanism moves smoothly without play, supporting intuitive interaction with the focal plane.
