Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure optimal performance, soak the spool in warm water for a few minutes before winding it onto your reel to reduce line memory. When spooling, maintain constant tension to prevent the line from bedded into itself, which can cause 'dig-in' during powerful casts. After sessions in saltier or debris-heavy water, wipe the line down with a damp cloth to remove grit. Always check for nicks or abrasions after landing a fish, especially after navigating rocky features. Store the spool in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight to prevent UV degradation of the monofilament material.
