Setup, Compatibility & Care
These bulbs should be planted in the autumn while the ground is still workable. Select a site with fertile, well-draining soil. Place the bulbs with the pointed end facing upward. Once planted, they require minimal care; simply allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering to provide energy to the bulb for next year's growth. If you are planting in containers, use a standard peat-free compost mixed with a little grit to improve drainage. Keep the soil slightly moist, but avoid overwatering, especially during the winter when the bulbs are establishing their root systems.
