FAQs

How deep does the ground socket need to be inserted?

The galvanised steel ground socket needs to be sunk into the ground approximately 22cm.

Can these posts be used for professional rugby training?

These are junior posts, designed for backyard and practice use. While durable, they may not meet the specifications or withstand the force required for professional adult training.

Do I need to dig a large hole for the 'no-hole' system?

No, a hole of approximately 22cm depth is needed to insert the steel ground socket. This is significantly less invasive than traditional post installation and the socket is removable.

What are the dimensions of the rugby posts?

The goal measures 9.6ft wide by 12ft high (2.92m x 3.65m), with a 6ft high crossbar.

Can I leave the posts assembled outside all year round?

Yes, the posts are designed for all-weather use and require no maintenance, so they can be left assembled outdoors year-round.

Is a carry bag included?

Yes, a carry bag is included with the Samba Junior Rugby Posts, making them easy to transport and store.

What is the warranty on these posts?

The Samba Junior Rugby Posts come with a 1-year no-quibble guarantee.

Are spare parts available?

Yes, all spare parts are available for the Samba Rugby Posts, ensuring long-term usability.

Troubleshooting

Posts feel unstable

Ensure the ground socket is fully inserted and the locking system on the posts is securely engaged. Check that the ground is firm and level.

Difficulty sliding post onto ground socket

Ensure the ground socket is clean and free of debris. Check that the socket is inserted vertically and that the post opening is clear.

Carry bag zipper is stuck

Gently try to move the zipper back and forth. Check for any fabric obstructions. Lubricating the zipper teeth with a dry lubricant like graphite (from a pencil) can sometimes help.

Parts appear to be missing

Double-check all packaging materials. Contact Samba customer service with your MPN (FI.HE1497336) and a description of the missing part for assistance. Spare parts are available.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Assemble the main post structure according to the provided step-by-step instructions.
Identify a suitable flat area for placement.
Insert the galvanised steel ground socket into the ground to a depth of approximately 22cm. Ensure it is firmly seated.
Slide the assembled Rugby H post onto the steel ground socket. The 'no-hole' system ensures the post is secured without drilling or permanent fixtures.

Compatibility:

These posts are designed for use on grass or soft ground where the steel socket can be inserted. They are not designed for hard surfaces like concrete or tarmac without alternative fixing methods.

Care:

The Samba Junior Rugby Posts require virtually no maintenance. They are constructed from high-impact, shatterproof uPVC and are designed to withstand all weather conditions. Simply wipe down with a damp cloth if any dirt accumulates. No painting or special treatments are required.
