Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician. Always ensure the wheel hub surface is thoroughly cleaned of debris and corrosion before mounting the new disc to prevent runout. Because these discs arrive with a protective coating, it is essential to ensure the hub-to-disc mating surface is clean, but the friction surface should be wiped with a professional-grade brake cleaner to remove any shipping oils before pads are installed. Since the unit does not include mounting hardware, it is highly recommended to use brand-new, manufacturer-specified wheel bolts to ensure proper torque retention. During the initial bedding-in period, avoid aggressive, emergency-style braking for the first 100-200 miles to allow the pads and discs to mate evenly. Inspect the disc thickness at every tire rotation, replacing the unit if the thickness measures 28mm or less.
