FAQs
Is this paper reusable?
Yes, you can roll it back up after use, or trim off the used section to reveal fresh paper.
Can I use this for full-body shots?
The 1.35m width is primarily suited for headshots, waist-up portraits, and product photography rather than wide full-body group shots.
How do I store the roll?
Store the paper vertically in a dry environment to avoid sagging and moisture absorption.
Is the paper fire-retardant?
Colorama papers are manufactured to high standards, but please check the specific product batch label for local safety compliance.
Can I write on the background?
Yes, you can use light markers or chalk, though marks are generally permanent and will require trimming the paper later.
Does it come with a stand?
No, this is a paper roll only. A background support stand or wall-mount system must be purchased separately.
Troubleshooting
Paper is unspooling too quickly
Use metal or plastic spring clamps to hold the paper at the desired length.
Visible wrinkles on the backdrop
Ensure the roll is mounted straight on the crossbar; if wrinkles persist, pull more paper down to apply tension.
Difficulty mounting to support system
Verify that your crossbar diameter matches the internal diameter of the Colorama cardboard core.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-quality, durable paper construction
- Completely seamless for professional aesthetics
- Non-reflective matte finish
- Wide range of creative uses beyond photography
Cons
- Requires a separate support system for mounting
- The paper can crease if handled improperly

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To use this paper, you must have a background support system such as stands with a crossbar or a wall-mounted paper drive system. To set it up, slide the paper core onto your crossbar and secure it with appropriate clamps to prevent unspooling. When not in use, ensure the roll is fully retracted and stored vertically in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture damage or accidental creasing. Avoid using adhesive tape directly on the paper surface, as it may tear the fibers when removed; instead, use studio clips to keep the paper weighted and taut on the floor.
