FAQs

What size batteries do the candles require?

Each TruGlow® LED candle requires 2 AA batteries, which are sold separately.

Are the LED candles included with the lanterns?

No, the TruGlow® LED candles are sold separately and must be purchased in addition to the lanterns.

How long does the timer stay on for?

The built-in timer on the compatible TruGlow® LED candles will stay on for 6 hours before automatically switching off.

Can I use regular real candles in these lanterns?

No, these lanterns are designed specifically for use with compatible LED candles. Using real flame candles poses a fire risk and can damage the wooden frame and wax.

How should I clean the wooden frame?

Wipe the wooden frame gently with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning materials.

What does 'IP20 Rated' mean for outdoor use?

IP20 rating means the lanterns are protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm and have no protection against water. This allows for occasional use in sheltered outdoor areas, but they must be protected from rain and moisture.

What are the dimensions of the lanterns?

The duo set includes lanterns measuring approximately 59.3cm and 42cm in height.

Troubleshooting

LED candle does not turn on

Ensure batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge. Check that the switch is in the 'ON' position. Try new batteries.

Lantern wax is melting

Immediately remove the lantern from direct sunlight or heat source. Ensure it is placed in a cool environment. Do not attempt to reshape melted wax.

Timer function not working

Verify that the candle is switched to the 'ON' position, which activates the 6-hour timer. Ensure batteries are fresh as low battery power can affect timer function.

Flickering effect is erratic

This can sometimes be due to low battery power. Replace batteries with fresh ones. Ensure the LED candle is seated correctly within the lantern.
