Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Installation typically involves fitting the waste through the basin's drain hole and securing it with the provided fittings. It's recommended to use plumber's putty or a suitable sealant to ensure a watertight seal between the waste and the basin. Connecting the pop-up mechanism to the basin's overflow pipe is a standard procedure, usually involving a clevis or similar linkage.
Compatibility: This waste is designed to fit standard bathroom basins with a pre-drilled overflow hole. While it's part of the Balterley range, it should also be compatible with most standard basin plumbing configurations. Ensure your basin has the correct size aperture for waste fitting.
Care: To maintain the chrome finish, clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface. For stubborn marks, a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner can be used. Periodically check the pop-up mechanism and seals for wear and tear.
