The Korda Dark Matter Leader QC Hybrid Clip is an essential terminal tackle component for carp anglers looking to keep their setup pinned to the lakebed while enabling rapid rig changes. Ideally suited for anglers targeting wary fish, this 1-meter leader features integral tungsten sections for optimal concealment, though its stiff construction requires careful handling to prevent tangles during long-range casting.

This leader is specifically designed for use with the integrated Hybrid Lead Clip system.
While the material is heavy, it is supple enough to cast well; however, the overall weight of the lead will have a greater impact on distance.
Avoid dragging the leader over sharp debris, and rinse with fresh water to remove silt or grit after use.
Clear is best for sand, gravel, or rocky bottoms; for silty or dark bottoms, consider green or brown versions.
We do not recommend cutting the leader as it may compromise the integrity of the fused components.
Ensure you are using a PVA bag or a small PVA nugget on the hook, and feather the line just before the lead hits the water.
Ensure the loop-to-loop connection is pulled tight and trimmed carefully; consider using a small sleeve over the knot to streamline it.
To attach the leader, simply pass the fused loop through your main line loop and pull the entire leader through the center of the loop-to-loop knot. For optimal performance, pair this with Korda Hybrid Tail Rubbers to ensure a consistent lead discharge. After each session, inspect the leader for any signs of fraying, particularly near the tungsten sections or the fused loop. If the leader has been used over sharp rocks or mussel beds, rinse it in clean, fresh water to remove grit and store it flat or loosely coiled to prevent permanent memory or kinks.
