The SPARES2GO 16A Extension Lead is designed for tradespeople, gardeners, and site managers who require a robust, reliable power solution for outdoor and heavy-duty environments. Providing a generous 14-meter reach with a 3-pin configuration, this cable ensures consistent power delivery for generators and various power tools, though users should note that the 1.5mm cable gauge is optimized for standard site equipment rather than high-amperage industrial machinery.

It is designed for outdoor site use, but it should not be submerged in water or left in standing puddles.
No, this lead is designed for standard site tools and generators; heavy-duty welding equipment typically requires a higher amperage rating and thicker gauge wiring.
The lead is rated for 240V, making it standard for UK mains and generator-based power systems.
While it is physically possible, joining multiple leads can result in voltage drop and reduced performance; it is best to use a single lead of the appropriate length.
This refers to the cross-sectional area of the copper conductors inside the cable, which determines how much current it can safely carry.
Check the connection at both the power source and the device side; ensure the breaker on your generator or main power source has not tripped.
Unplug the lead immediately. You may be exceeding the 16A current capacity or have too many devices daisy-chained on the same line.
To ensure safety, always inspect the cable for any nicks or exposed wiring before connecting it to a power source. When setting up, ensure the connection points are clear of water, even if the cable is rated for outdoor use, to prevent short circuits. For maintenance, clean the cable periodically with a dry cloth to remove dirt or oil buildup. When not in use, coil the lead loosely to prevent internal wire breakage or insulation fatigue. Ensure that your equipment plug aligns correctly with the 3-pin configuration before applying power.
