FAQs
What material are the Trespass Rockie Tent Pegs made of?
They are made from high-quality, durable steel for maximum strength and reliability.
How many pegs are included in a pack?
Each pack includes five robust steel tent pegs.
What are the dimensions of each peg?
Each peg measures 180mm in length and 8mm in diameter.
Are these pegs suitable for all types of ground?
They are specifically designed for hard or rocky surfaces and provide superior grip in these conditions. They may be less effective on soft sand or loose soil.
What is the main benefit of the yellow tops?
The vibrant yellow tops are for enhanced visibility, making them easier to spot in the dark or low-light conditions.
Can I use these pegs with any tent?
Yes, they are compatible with most standard tents, awnings, and tarpaulins.
Do I need a special tool to hammer them in?
A standard tent peg mallet is recommended for effective insertion. A robust mallet is advised for very hard ground.
Troubleshooting
Peg bends during insertion.
Ensure you are using a mallet and striking the peg vertically. If the ground is exceptionally hard, try a slightly different angle or spot. For extremely tough conditions, consider a dedicated hard-ground mallet.
Peg doesn't hold the tent securely.
Ensure the peg is driven deep enough into the ground. If the ground is too soft, these pegs may not be the best option. Try using more pegs or reinforcing the anchor points.
Difficulty seeing pegs in low light.
While the yellow tops enhance visibility, ensure you are aware of all peg locations before nightfall. Consider using reflective guy lines for added safety.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Select a firm spot for each peg, ideally in hard or rocky ground.
- Using a tent peg mallet (such as the Pegisu model, sold separately), strike the top of the peg firmly and vertically.
- Continue to drive the peg into the ground until it is securely set.
- Attach guy lines or tent loops to the peg's integrated hole or hook.
Compatibility:
- These pegs are designed for use with most standard tents, awnings, and tarpaulins.
- They are best suited for hard, compacted, or rocky ground.
- For very soft ground, sand, or loose soil, alternative peg types may be more effective.
Care:
- After use, clean off any dirt or debris with water and a brush.
- Dry the pegs thoroughly before storing to prevent rust.
- Store in a dry place, ideally in a protective bag or case to avoid damage to other gear or potential injury from the sharp ends.
