This is normal. Allow the full 5-7 day expansion period in a warm, well-ventilated room to ensure the foam recovers completely.
This is typical for new foam products. Airing it out in a well-ventilated room for the duration of the expansion period will dissipate the odor.
To ensure the mattress reaches its intended shape and density, unpack it in a well-ventilated room immediately upon arrival. Do not attempt to use the mattress before the 5-7 day expansion window has passed, as the foam requires this time to recover from being vacuum-packed. Ensure the cot bed frame is clean and dry before placing the mattress inside. For maintenance, keep the cover on at all times to protect the foam. If the cover becomes soiled, unzip it carefully and wash according to the care label instructions to maintain its waterproof integrity.
