Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Verification: Before use, always consult your vehicle's owner's manual to confirm the exact automatic transmission fluid specification required. While Carlube ATF-U is universal, cross-referencing with the extensive list of supported specifications (e.g., Dexron IIIH, Mercon V, JWS 3309, MB 236.x) is crucial to ensure it is the correct fluid for your specific make and model.
Fluid Change Procedure: Transmission fluid changes should be performed according to the vehicle manufacturer's recommended service intervals. If unsure, a general guideline is every 40,000-80,000 miles, or as per the manual. This typically involves draining the old fluid, replacing the transmission filter, and refilling with the appropriate amount of new fluid. Never overfill.
Care and Storage: Store the fluid in its original container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed to prevent contamination. Dispose of used fluid responsibly at an authorized recycling center.
