FAQs

What is the VARTA V370 battery used for?

The VARTA V370 (SR69) is primarily designed for powering digital watches and other small electronic devices that require a 1.55V silver-oxide button cell.

Is the VARTA V370 rechargeable?

No, the V370 is a single-use (non-rechargeable) battery.

What are the dimensions of the V370 battery?

The V370 battery has a diameter of 9.5 mm and a height of 2.1 mm, corresponding to the SR69 size designation.

How long does a V370 battery typically last?

Battery life varies depending on the device's power consumption. For typical digital watches, it can last from one to several years.

Can I use this battery in any device that needs a button cell?

Only use the V370 in devices that specifically call for an SR69 or equivalent battery. Using an incorrect battery size or type can damage the device.

Where should I store spare V370 batteries?

Store spare batteries in their original blister packaging in a cool, dry place, away from metal objects, to prevent short circuits and maintain their charge.

What does 'Silver-Oxide (S)' mean?

This refers to the battery's chemical composition. Silver-oxide batteries offer a stable voltage, high energy density, and long shelf life, making them ideal for precision devices like watches.

Troubleshooting

Watch not turning on after battery replacement

Ensure the battery is inserted correctly with the positive (+) side facing upwards. Check that the battery terminals inside the watch are clean and making proper contact. Verify that the battery is not dead by testing it with a multimeter if possible.

Watch display is dim or flickering

This may indicate a low battery or poor contact. Re-seat the battery firmly. If the issue persists, the battery may be depleted or faulty.

Device intermittently stops working

Check for any debris or corrosion on the battery contacts or inside the device. Ensure the battery is securely in place and not loose.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Replacing a VARTA V370 battery involves opening the case of your digital watch. This typically requires a watch case opening tool. Ensure you note the orientation of the old battery before removal. Insert the new V370 battery with the positive (+) side facing up (usually indicated by markings on the battery or watch casing).

Compatibility:

This battery is compatible with any digital watch or small electronic device that specifically requires an SR69 or V370 (equivalent) silver-oxide button cell with dimensions of 9.5mm diameter and 2.1mm height.

Care:

  • Handling: Always handle batteries with clean, dry hands or tweezers. Avoid touching the battery terminals, as oils from your skin can impede performance.
  • Storage: Store unused batteries in their original blister packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and metal objects that could cause a short circuit.
  • Disposal: Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations. Do not dispose of them in regular household waste.
