Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Simply unroll the doormat and place it in your desired location. Ensure the area is clean and dry before placement for optimal grip from the non-slip backing.
Compatibility:
- Indoor Use: Perfect for hallways, entryways, and mudrooms.
- Outdoor Use: Suitable for sheltered outdoor areas such as covered porches, stoops, or under awnings. Avoid direct exposure to rain and harsh sunlight, which can degrade the natural coir and backing over time.
- Flooring: Compatible with most hard flooring surfaces. The rubber backing is designed to be safe for most floor types, but testing in an inconspicuous area is recommended if you have concerns about specific finishes.
Care:
- Regular Cleaning: Shake or vacuum the mat regularly to remove loose dirt and debris. This is the most effective way to maintain its appearance and function.
- Spot Cleaning: For stains, use a mild soap and water solution with a stiff brush. Rinse thoroughly and allow the mat to air dry completely before repositioning.
- Deep Cleaning: Periodically, you can hose down the mat and scrub with a brush. Ensure it dries completely in a well-ventilated, sheltered area before use to prevent mould or mildew. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Maintenance: Occasionally check the backing for any debris and clean if necessary. Rotate the mat periodically to ensure even wear.
