FAQs

Can I grow vegetables in this basket?

Yes, this basket is excellent for compact herbs, cherry tomatoes, or strawberries.

How deep is the planting area?

The basket has a depth of 18.4cm, providing sufficient space for most seasonal bedding plants.

Is the hanging hardware rust-resistant?

The included metal wires are designed for outdoor use and durability in standard garden conditions.

Do I need to line the basket with moss?

No, the basket features a built-in removable internal liner designed to support healthy growth without needing traditional moss.

How many plants can I fit in the side hole?

The side hole is designed for one or two compact trailing plant starters for a natural, cascading effect.

Troubleshooting

Plants are wilting despite regular watering

The soil may be too dry or the drainage is too efficient. Check for soil quality and ensure you are saturating the root ball, not just the surface.

Basket feels unstable when hanging

Ensure the three hanging wires are evenly distributed and clipped securely into the rim slots. Verify that the S-hook is fully engaged with your wall bracket.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Integrated side-planting design for fuller floral coverage
Removable liner improves essential root aeration
Lightweight construction makes it easy to mount on standard wall brackets
Includes all necessary hardware for immediate setup
Versatile size suitable for flowers, herbs, or small fruit

Cons

Smaller capacity may dry out quickly in high summer temperatures
Requires stable wall or ceiling mounts to support wet soil weight
Side-planting hole requires care during initial filling to prevent soil spill

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is straightforward: attach the three metal hanging wires to the designated slots on the basket rim and connect them to the provided S-hook. Ensure your wall bracket or ceiling hook is rated to support the weight of the basket when fully saturated with water.

To care for your basket, regularly trim back dead foliage to encourage new growth. During dry spells, check soil moisture daily by pressing a finger into the top two inches of the medium. At the end of the season, remove the internal liner for deep cleaning to remove salt deposits or soil buildup, which helps prolong the life of the plastic structure.
